Maypole was formed in 1973 and are a precision engineering company, with many years experience, highly skilled staff and some very impressive projects and approvals, for the aerospace and defence industries in particular. Maypole are an AS EN 9100 Rev B & BS EN ISO 9001:2000 registered company also Nadcap approved Non-destructive Test.

Due to our continued success, we expanded into our current modern and centrally located premises in Birmingham, the heart of the Midlands and the UK’s “Second City “. The factory is some 9,000 square feet and equipped with the latest machinery to help us provide our continuing competitive service, with the focus on expertise, quality and customer service.
Some of our latest machines include the Mazak Super Quickturn 250M Turning Centre with Live Heads and extended length capacity to machine components up to one metre long, putting us ahead of some of our competitors. Also the Cincinnati 750 Arrow, (CNC machining centres) with full forth axis which enables our skilled staff to machine prismatic parts from all sides, without re-setting, enabling a more competitive price for our customers.
Some of our current high profile Approvals include the leading manufacturer of landing gear in the world, Messier Dowty. For example, Maypole developed piston tubes for a popular small passenger jet used by major airlines including British Airways.
